Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
My design firm has been incredibly busy in the last year. And my team has doubled in size! I could never juggle all these projects without these talented ladies behind the scenes. It’s truly a team effort to make these dream homes a reality for our clients. You can see the full team below, supporting our client Rachel Rodgers and her new book launch (go check it out - she’s amazing!). I want to introduce you to each member of the KCI crew so you can see just how fab they all are!
April Feezor
April is my right-hand lady and the lead designer at KCI. We like to say it was destiny that brought her to my team. April and I actually graduated from design school together, although I may have been a few years older (ha!). I’m so glad we reconnected a few years later when she was working as a sales rep in our local tile showroom. She has been the perfect yin to my yang and her attention to detail cannot be matched! I’m so lucky to have her! Outside of design, she enjoys being outdoors in nature, listening to live music, exploring historic architecture, and sipping on a glass of wine at local vineyards with her new husband Matthew.
Megan Sommers
Megan is our Operations Manager who keeps all the balls in the air behind the scenes. She places orders, tracks deliveries, and keeps us all on schedule (not an easy task)! She’s always calm and collected even when I ask her 15 questions at a time. We all need someone in our circle that loves a good spreadsheet and Megan is our someone! Her willingness to pitch in wherever necessary allows our work as a firm to shine. When Megan isn’t at KCI, she loves early mornings, working out, cooking, and traveling. She and her husband Joe are parents to their little girl Millie.
Bianca Jenkins
Bianca is the newest member of our team as our design assistant. She specializes in CAD drawings and elevations, as well as helping with the design details that are so critical to each project. She’s a recent graduate from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BFA in Interior Architecture. In her spare time, you can find Bianca searching for the best finds at vintage shops, taking her pets Lilo and Yoshi on walks, or at the local farmers’ market looking for plants to add to her growing collection!
Penny the Barkitect
Penny is our spirited Cavapoo who serves as official office dog and pet therapist. She loves to bark at our delivery people, socialize with other dogs on State Street, and knows exactly where the treats are hidden in the office.
I’m so thrilled to have such an incredible team of talented women to work with every day! We love what we do, and we are excited to work with our amazing clients to create gorgeous homes. Want to work with us, too? Get in touch!
All the best,
Kara
